I have no blood in my legs! Or at least that is the way it feels… I have lots of muscle contractions and the fascias are tight. Need some massage NOW.
Worst at the moment are the Adductors and Calf muscles. Feels like there are hard stones in there and it hurts when touching them. I know I know… this is the price for thinking “I’ll do the stretching when I come home” after every session at the gym. The stretching never happens. Improvement needed…

I usually wake up 10-15 minutes before my wake-up alarm rings in the morning. After adjusting to “wintertime” where the clock was turned back an hour I am now waking up even earlier… Is it possible to get a little jetlag from only one hour adjustment? Anyway my body seems to be used to my routines and have difficulties adjusting to changes right away.
One positive thing about that though – leaves me a couple of minutes extra to be able to add this blogpost…
The weekend consisted mostly of own training and training others. Me and Johan went out to Bosön (www.boson.nu) Saturday to have a little variation in our training. The environment there is nice. Somehow the air is just breathing sports and dedicated training – I like that.
While I chose training hams and abs (which still are sore) I found Johan among the hurdles. His technique was not very impressive, but after all my sets of stiff legged dead lifts I did not even wanna try, so I guess I don’t have the right to complain on his way of doing it either

…some pictures from the Swedish Championships…BUT, I forgot the camera at home!
That was last weekend. Old news I guess. This weekend has been a busy but fun one. Me and Johan have had lots to do and suddenly it was Sunday night.
Can’t believe it’s Monday again, weeks are just passing by without any time to reflect upon it. I’m getting reminded when I feel the morning temperature getting lower and lower and also the dark.
I’ve said it before but I’ll say it again. There are 4 feelings I really don’t like:
1. Freezing (sometimes more clothes helps or a warm cup of tea)

2. Being sleepy (and not being able to go to sleep because I need to do other things)

3. Being hungry (can easily be solved unless I’m on a diet
)

4. Needing to pee (worst when I’m away from home and need to run around looking for a toilet)

Any combination of the 4 points above is of course even worse.
Time for a 60 min ride on the spinning bike! See u.

Me and Johan did some internet shopping last week and we finally ordered a new camera!
It arrived yesterday and I look forward to start using it and post some pictures on the blog.
This weekend it is time for the Swedish Championships in Bodyfitness, Fitness, Bodybuilding and Classic Bodybuilding. Looking forward to go to Västerås and watch the competitions.

Looking at old pictures… Can not believe this one was taken a year ago. What happened to all the days, hours, minutes and seconds of the year that passed?
Johan, my love, you are the best!

When waking up and leaving the home early in the morning the difference between my life and many others becomes so visible. Took the nightbus to the gym at 4.27 am. On the bus it was me, another person that usually is at the gym that early and a couple of half drunk almost asleep people (probably on their way home after a night of partying).
It is almost the same at night, when I am on my way home late (that means after 10 pm) many others are on their way out…
It is really two different worlds, and I did spend some time at the other side during my younger years. Did I become boring? Or maybe I just grew up? I think it all comes down to a change of lifestyle – the kind of lifestyle that I love.
It is 8.20 pm and I am about to get ready for bed… earlier than many kids I guess, but so what:-)

I used to hate the rowing machine at the gym… maybe because I didn’t try it properly
Was going to do morning cardio at the spinningbike at home today but felt restless and wanted to do something else.
Went to the gym instead and started out on a crosstrainer… booooring… tried another machine, stair climber… even more boring.
Did not want to run on a threadmill, and not use a bicycle (could have done that at home) so my eyes went towards the rowing machine while thinking Not going to happen!Just to “punish” myself for being so demotivated I decided to do at least 3000 meters rowing – and it was fun! This is the kind of mindgames that makes you stronger. Love that feeling.
3000 meters didn’t take a very long time, but I chose to end my cardio session at the crosstrainer and the next time I go to the gym for cardio I will add the rowing machine and beat the time it took me to complete 3000 meters.

Sometimes doing strenght training early in the morning before work feels sooo good. I am more alert in the morning, and the gym is often pretty empty so I never have to wait for equipment.
I’ve decided to improve my squat technique, so monday morning I did 8 sets of deep squats. I ended the session with some sets walking lunges with dumbells. 24 hours later I didn’t have any soreness in my legs, but yesterday afternoon the pain started to increase. Soreness from training is ok, but when it hurts for real in quads and glutes it is no fun. I did not want to move at all yesterday evening, and guess what… today it’s worse and my legs feels really swollen.
Will head for another early session at the gym now. This time I’ll do back, and today I am only going for rowing excersises. Need to improve my technique there as well.
